Addie collected all the hob nob and milk containers.  Each flower arrangement was arranged differently. Every reception table had a stack of vintage books, a milk glass with baby's breath, rose petals, a vintage handkerchief and a vintage lace tablecloth. Gorgeous!! Addie did an incredible job with all the vintage details.

Wicked!

Our team at Jeanie Gorrell Floral Design is proud to be a part of the 2nd Annual Lexington Children's Theatre Celebrity Curtain Call.  This year's theme is "Goes Wicked" benefiting LCT and the 130,000 children LCT serves each year.  The cocktail attire event included food and wine from local dining establishments and 2 auctions. Following the reception, a cast of over 20 local personalities and community leaders performed scenes highlighting some of LCT's favorite villains.  Some local celebrities included were University of Kentucky's football coach Joker Phillips, Miss Kentucky Mallory Ervin, my beautiful mother-in-law Grace Gorrell and handsome father-in-law Brian Gorrell.

Here are a few images of the wicked centerpieces.

Doesn't the Anthurium remind of the Wicked Witch's nose?!

Habitat Wedding

Here is a wedding from September of last year.  This wedding took place at Talon Winery.  Jenny's wedding focused on a popular trend in floral design called "Habitat".  Habitat, according to the California Cut Flower Commission is "a concern for the Earth, its flora and fauna.  It provides a restful, serene and studious environment that communicates one's ecological values, respecting the delicate balance between the Earth and its people".  Collected and recycled elements are key components to this style.  Jenny used reclaimed wood, recycled wine bottles and hemp linens for the tables.

Flowers of interesting form and texture are showcased.  Some of the flowers shown are cockscomb, dusty miller, grasses, pin cushion protea, kale, chocolate cosmos, orchids, etc.

We also used grapevine from the winery in tall cylinder vases.

Jenny's dad built this modern cup cake stand.
